You can always enter the printed waypoint code if scanning is unavailable, and location is never required to play.
Camera scanning is not working
Use the four-letter code printed on the waypoint sign. To restore scanning, open the site permissions for this website in your browser settings and allow camera access.
Location was denied or revoked
You can keep playing without location. If you want to restore it later, open this website’s permissions in your browser settings and allow location access.
The permission prompt does not appear
A browser may stop prompting after permission has been denied. Use the lock or site-settings control near the address bar, or open the browser’s privacy settings for this website.
The field has a weak connection
Keep the attempt page open and try again when service returns. A waypoint is not recorded until the app confirms the check-in succeeded.
